The 10-yard is the one people rent when the project is real but not huge. It is 12 feet long, which means the truck needs less room to set it and it fits in the narrow driveways you see all over Southwood Valley, Emerald Forest and the older streets near Texas A&M.
Best uses for a 10-yard dumpster
- Garage or basement cleanout
- Bathroom remodel with tile and vanity
- Flooring tear-out for one or two rooms
- Small yard cleanup or brush
- Clean concrete, dirt or brick (weight-limited)
Watch this: A 10-yard is the only size we recommend for heavy material like clean concrete, brick or dirt. The walls are low on purpose: you can fill it to the line and stay under the weight limit. Fill a taller box with concrete and the truck cannot legally carry it.
When this is not the right size
Skip the 10-yard for a roof, a full kitchen gut or a whole-house cleanout. It will fill up before lunch and you will pay for a second haul.
If this looks tight, step up to the 20-yard dumpster.
Delivery and pickup
We drop in College Station, Bryan and across the Brazos Valley. Tell us where on the property you want it and we will confirm the truck can get there. Lay plywood or boards under the contact points if you do not want marks on the driveway. For street placement, read the College Station dumpster rules first.
Rental period and extra days
Seven days is standard. Need longer? Ask when you book and we will give you the daily rate. Details in how long you can keep a rental dumpster.
Questions people ask
How many pickup loads is a 10-yard dumpster?
About three to four, if you load level with the top. That is roughly 10 cubic yards of loose debris.
Can I put concrete in a 10-yard?
Yes, clean concrete without rebar is the best use of this size because the low walls keep you under the weight limit. Mixed loads are priced differently, so mention it when you call.
Will a 10-yard fit in my driveway?
Almost always. It is about 12 feet long and 7.5 feet wide. We want a straight shot of roughly 60 feet to back it in and clear branches above.
